Saccly Bookkeeping Terms of Service
Last updated September 24, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Saccly LLC (“Saccly,” “we” or “us”) for your use of Saccly Bookkeeping (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them on behalf of yourself and the business you register (“you”).
Saccly is not a tax preparer, accountant or law firm, and the Service does not provide tax, legal or accounting advice. You are responsible for your tax filings. Section 3 explains.
1. Who can use the Service
The Service is for businesses operating in the United States. You must be at least 18 and authorized to act for the business and to connect its accounts. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in details secure.
2. What the Service does
The Service collects your business transactions from the bank, card and payment accounts you connect or upload, suggests how to organize them (merchant, category, event and purpose), asks you about the ones it can’t work out, and prepares reports and year-end summaries you can give to TurboTax or a tax preparer.
- All plans include the app, bank connections, text messages (if you opt in), reports and exports.
- Plans that include the review service add a monthly check of your books by Saccly staff: following up on uncategorized items, matching deposits, flagging anything that looks wrong, and preparing a year-end package. Review is bookkeeping support based on the information available to us and your answers. It is not an audit, and it is not tax preparation.
We may improve or change features over time. If we remove a feature your plan depends on, we will tell you in advance.
3. Not tax, legal or accounting advice
- Categories, summaries and reminders are organizational tools. Mapping a category to a line of a tax form is a convenience, not a determination that an expense is deductible or that an amount is correct for your return.
- Choices such as whether to expense or depreciate an asset, which vehicle method to use, whether you owe sales tax and how much estimated tax to pay belong to you and your tax preparer.
- You are responsible for reviewing your information before you rely on it, and for the accuracy and timeliness of every return, payment and filing you make, including income tax, sales tax and information returns such as Form 1099.
- Saccly is not responsible for taxes, penalties, interest or other amounts you owe, even if they relate to information in the Service.
4. Your responsibilities
- Give accurate information and answer questions about your transactions truthfully.
- Review suggestions, reports and summaries before relying on them.
- Keep receipts and other records the law requires you to keep. The Service can store copies, but it does not replace your own record-keeping obligations.
- Connect only accounts you are authorized to connect, and use the Service only for lawful business purposes.
- Keep your mobile number and email current so our messages reach you.
5. Bank and payment connections
We use Plaid Inc. (“Plaid”) to connect to your bank and card accounts. By connecting an account, you authorize Plaid to access it and share the information with us, and you agree to Plaid’s handling of your data as described in the Plaid End User Privacy Policy. Connections depend on your bank, card and payment providers and can stop working, for example after a password change; we will ask you to reconnect. Saccly is not responsible for data a provider fails to send, sends late or sends incorrectly.
6. Automated suggestions
The Service uses automated tools, including AI models, to suggest merchants, categories, events and purposes and to read your text replies. Suggestions can be wrong. Items the Service is unsure about are marked for your review, and estimates are labeled as estimates. You can change any suggestion.
7. Text Messaging Terms
| Program | Saccly Bookkeeping account notifications |
|---|---|
| What we send | Questions about new transactions that need your input, event confirmations, weekly and monthly summaries, and bookkeeping and tax deadline reminders. Replies you send (including photos) are used to update your books. No marketing messages. |
| How you opt in | By entering your mobile number and checking the unchecked consent box during account setup or in settings. Consent is not a condition of purchase, and you can use the Service without texts. |
| Frequency | Varies with your activity, up to about 10 messages per week. |
| Cost | Message and data rates may apply. |
| Opt out | Reply STOP at any time. You’ll receive one message confirming you’ve been unsubscribed. You can also turn texts off in settings. |
| Help | Reply HELP, or email isaac.lee@saccly.com. |
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. How we handle your mobile information is described in our Privacy Policy; we never share it with third parties for marketing.
8. Fees and billing
- Fees are the prices shown when you subscribe. Subscriptions are billed in advance, monthly or annually, through our payment processor, Stripe, and renew automatically until you cancel.
- Cancelling: you can cancel anytime in your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Refunds: monthly plans are not refunded for partial months. Annual plans cancelled within the first 30 days are refunded for the unused whole months; after 30 days, annual fees are not refundable.
- Catch-up work (organizing past months) is a one-time fee and is non-refundable once work has started.
- Price changes: we will give you at least 30 days’ notice by email. The new price applies from your next billing period after the notice period.
- Fees do not include taxes; you are responsible for any that apply. If a payment fails, we may pause the Service until it is resolved.
- Free or discounted access we agree to in writing is governed by these terms except for the fees.
9. Your data
- You own your data. You give Saccly permission to host, process and display it as needed to provide and support the Service.
- Aggregated data: we may use data in aggregated or de-identified form, such as how businesses commonly categorize a supplier, to improve suggestions for all customers. It will not identify you, your business or your amounts.
- Staff access: on plans that include the review service, Saccly staff access your books to perform it. On other plans, staff access them only when you grant permission for support, or when needed for security or legal reasons. Every staff access is logged.
- Export and deletion: you can export your records at any time. After you cancel, we disconnect your accounts immediately and delete your data within 30 days unless you ask us to keep it, as described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Acceptable use
Don’t use the Service to break the law, connect accounts you don’t have authority over, interfere with its security, reverse engineer it, resell it, or access another business’s data. We may suspend or end access for violations.
11. Availability
We work to keep the Service available and your data safe, but it may be interrupted for maintenance, provider outages or events outside our control.
12. Disclaimer
EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY STATED IN THESE TERMS, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT SUGGESTIONS, CATEGORIES, REPORTS OR SUMMARIES WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR SUITABLE FOR ANY TAX FILING.
13. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW: (A) SACCLY WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE OR DATA, OR FOR TAXES, PENALTIES OR INTEREST, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THEIR POSSIBILITY; AND (B) SACCLY’S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE FEES YOU PAID SACCLY FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
14. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Saccly harmless from claims, losses and costs (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your tax filings, information you provide, accounts you connect without authority, or your violation of these terms or the law.
15. Ending this agreement
You can cancel at any time as described in section 8. We may end or suspend your access for non-payment or violation of these terms, or end the Service for everyone with at least 30 days’ notice and a chance to export your data. Sections 3, 9, 12, 13, 14 and 16 survive termination.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois, and both parties consent to their jurisdiction.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes, we will email you at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept them; if you don’t, you can cancel before they take effect.
18. General
These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement about the Service. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Failing to enforce a term is not a waiver. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. Notices to you go to your account email; notices to us go to the contact details below.
